Online Autism Course
This online training was developed by the Illinois Autism/PDD Training and Technical Assistance Project (IATTAP), Illinois State University (ISU) and the Early Intervention Project to bring you information on the history of ASD, the DSM IV classification, characteristics associated with ASD, how we identify, the current prevalence of ASD and an overview of educational strategies based on areas of concern. You can access the modules in this course as many times as you would like. Between each module there is a gateway "reality check" that will serve as an entry point into the next module. You will be allowed to take the "reality check" twice and you must receive a score of 80% or better to move on. In addition to receive credit you must complete the assignments attached to each module. The authors of this project are offering this program as a comprehensive foundational program.

No Cost/Low Cost Technology Solutions for Diverse Learners: Considerations for Tier Interventions
It seems that technology changes as rapidly as the legal requirements for
using it to increase access to the curriculum. How do you keep up, much less
afford the technologies that would benefit the greatest number of students?
This presentation will introduce participants to the growing number of low cost/no cost web-based and downloadable applications that can provide supports to students in every subject area. Many of these sites can be used as Universal Design Tools that can be made available to any student, regardless of disability or learning/preference style. Many of these applications may be used as interventions for struggling learners as well as potential enhancement of learning for all students.
No upcoming events to display. Please check back.
