student demonstrates proficient
use of assistive technology in a school setting
student's high school is affiliated
with UCP Chicago (through Infinitec Coalitions, etc.) or student
received training/therapy from UCP Chicago/Infinitec
student has been accepted into
an Illinois college
student maintains C+ grade point
average
student exhibits financial need
student/college submits quarterly
reports containing grades, projects, clubs, etc.
Scholar will be chosen by a selection committee
consisting of four Women's Board members, UCP Associate Director
Peggy Childs, and UCP Executive Director Paul Dulle. Funds for the
scholarship will be collected directly from the Infinitec.org Web
site and from the Women's Board dues & Mother's Day Tea. UCP
staff will administer all funds, oversee grades, etc. Applications
will be accepted each Spring. The scholarship will be
publicized in UCP's newsletters, to UCP Boards, through press releases
to local papers and on the UCP & Infinitec websites (http://www.ucpnet.org
& http:/www.infinitec.org).
