Scholarship Award of UCP Chicago Women's Board
2008 Scholarship Award Winner

Albert Nutall

UCP Women’s Board is pleased to announce Albert Nutall, one of two very special scholarship award winners for 2008! (Please also see Maria Nikolaou)

Albert is an enthusiastic and highly motivated student who works extremely hard in all subjects, despite difficulties caused by having cerebral palsy. When he was in high school, Albert maintained a straight 3.00 grade point average which helped prepare him for college-level course work.

Currently, Albert is pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago where he is an eager learner, dedicated to excellence. Albert is willing to put in any amount of extra time and effort needed to succeed in his classes.

Like so many students, with or without a disability, Albert struggles with test-taking, but works that much harder to overcome it. Albert is also resourceful, making good use of the tools included in Microsoft Office Professional 2007, such as use of email, the Internet, and grammar and spell check. Albert then volunteers to teach computer skills to others in the computer lab! He also serves as a senator in student government. Albert’s professionalism will serve him well in his career.

We are proud to present Albert Nutall as the sixth recipient of the UCP Women’s Board Scholarship for Assistive Technology. Albert joins our Assistive Technology Scholarship winners of 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
