Donka Inc. is a program for adults with disabilities who are also visually-impaired and blind adults living in or around DuPage County, Illinois. Donka teaches vocational classes in computer hardware and software products. The four to six month course is free to qualified individuals. Students learn Windows 95; Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel '97; HTML Web page design, Dragon Dictate, PageMaker, etc. Donka Inc, also utilizes state-of-the-art assistive technology, such as screen reading programs, voice activated software and screen magnification. Eye Tec, the center for persons who are blind or visually impaired, provides special technology for use at home, work or school, such as computer systems with speech capability, enlargement software, and ergonomic features.
