Taking Control: Career Tips for People with Disabilities
The Disability Community has always been woefully
under-employed, with little change following the passage of the
Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990. Job discrimination for
people with disabilities remains extremely highas much as
75 per cent. Thus, the bigger job of educating the business world
falls to a smaller minority of workers with disabilities. That in
itself, is a full-time job.
To learn how to better "communicate"
your skills and unique potential, see the video stream below. Taking
Control: Career Tips for People with Disabilities provides excellent,
practical strategies for obtaining active, gainful employment. The
video is presented by experts in the field of disability employment,
and is produced with funding provided by The JM Foundation, New
